Rethinking Energy: Our first Sustainability Report

With our Sustainability Report 2024, we demonstrate the contribution trawa has made over the past year to climate protection, the SME sector, and our team. Because responsibility for a sustainable energy future means delivering measurable results, not empty promises.

The energy transition needs transparency, not just promises

Today, we are publishing our first Sustainability Report, not because we are required to, but because we believe transparency is the key to supporting SMEs through the energy transition.

Sustainable energy supply is not at odds with economic viability; it is a prerequisite for it. This is exactly where we come in: with technologies that reduce complexity, lower costs, and avoid emissions.

What We Achieved in 2024

Despite a dynamic market environment, we were able to achieve tangible results for our customers and also internally within our team. Here are some highlights:

  • We supplied certified green electricity to over 2,500 consumption locations

  • We helped customers reduce emissions and cut energy costs through our solutions

  • We completed our first corporate carbon footprint assessment and developed a clear reduction plan

  • We achieved ISO 27001 certification to strengthen long-term data security

  • We had a 37% share of women in our team, which is well above the industry average

What we learned along the way

Sustainability is not a one-off project. It cannot be implemented or measured overnight. Every step counts. Transparency, exchange, and a clear plan help us keep moving forward.

As a rapidly growing company, we focus our resources where we can achieve the greatest sustainable impact for our customers and the climate and we are continuously developing our commitment and sustainability management.

What’s next

2025 will be a decisive year for trawa. We want to help even more companies make their energy supply sustainable and cost-efficient. By expanding our Flexibility-as-a-Service solutions and growing into Austria, we are pursuing responsible growth.

Our goal remains clear: a future in which German SMEs strengthen their competitiveness through intelligent energy use while simultaneously driving forward the energy transition.

We are proud of what we have achieved and highly motivated to build on this foundation. At the same time, this report shows: we are just getting started.
